On September 25th, Joe surprised me by sending two dozen roses to my work. They arrived during last period and I was completely shocked. I haven't gotten roses from him since we were engaged, seven years ago. They were beautiful. The whole day he kept calling me and asking how I was doing. Now I know why. He wanted to be sure that they got there in time. It was great! my students loved it almost as much as I did.
