Last year we decided that we wanted to paint our house. Joe went and bout all the material, which included new gutters and began to work getting the house ready for it's makeover. However, when he pulled off the old gutters we found dry rot on almost all of our front eaves. Since Joe was in nursing school, we didn't have the time or the money to replace the roof, so we just left it. It was really sad looking.
Now, Joe that Joe is finished with school we have the means to fix our roof situation and that it just was we did. Our families were wonderful and helped a ton. It's so nice to have family close. They are always willing to help out and it is such a blessing. This would have cost thousands of dollars and we were able to get it done for just a few. A huge thank you to all of our family that helped.

Here is proof that my Mom helped. She helped a lot too. We were glad that she was there, because she was light enough to get out on the rotten eaves to pull the old shingles off. Yep, we sacrificed my Mom.
