My sister and her husband, Scott, had been bugging us to go out and visit them for months. I finally committed to driving out to Utah, during the boys' Spring Break. The weather this year has been crazy. Not crazy in a good way either. Crazy in the "I don't want to drive over Donner" crazy. I thought for sure at the end of April we were safe...wrong. It was raining at our house when we left, which meant possible snow in the Sierras. Sure enough, by the time we got to Auburn, the digital CalTrans signs suggested carrying chains. So, we spent about an hour locating some chains in Auburn and were off. It did snow a little bit, but nothing to be worried about. I was more concerned about the person from Arkansas driving 30mph on I80. By the time we got to Reno it was sunny and another unexpected surprise...gas prices were 40 cents cheaper! It continued to get cheaper the closer we got to Utah. I was happy for the trip, but then a little mad about the $4.25 I was paying in Sacramento. Oh well. We had a great visit with not only Krista and Scott, but my brother and his wife who live about 5 minutes away. Both families are doing great and adjusting to life in Utah. They seem to really like it there, which is great. I am a little jealous of their houses though :)
The first day we were there we went to a museum on BYU's campus. It had all these stuffed animals in it. Big, little, you name it they pretty much had it. Here is Jacob shooting a Liger...that's right read the sign they're real!
This huge butterfly was actually tons of smaller ones put together.

After the museum we went to Cabella's. Which was AWESOME. That store had everything. I would have taken pictures, but I didn't want to seem like a complete out of towner, so I refrained.
Day 2, Krista had off so we went shopping and did some running around. Then we had a BBQ and an Easter Egg hunt with the kids.

Scott found these geese on a job site and brought them home. The boys were crazy about them and kept checking them to be sure that they were ok.
Noah loved them a little too much, so he wasn't allowed to hold them.
