I am a horrible parent and allow my children to, you guessed it, play with sticks. I don't let them go all crazy with them, but really, has anyone ever SEEN or KNOWN anyone that has poked their eye out with a stick. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but what are the odds here. I also find it hilarious when people take sticks away from the boys with me there, like I'm not paying attention. I'm watching. I know what they are doing. I just don't care. Alright, enough about me and my rantings. Since, all I apparently can do is raise boys, I have noticed one thing (I've really noticed a few, but for the sake of this post we'll say one) they instinctively play with sticks. Small ones just will not do either. The pictures below are a natural progression of an afternoon at the park.

Within the first few minutes of being in the sand you see in Noah's hand a tiny stick and a smile on his face. |
 |
However, that tiny thing just will not do. He upgraded at some point. |
 |
In the end he settled for this beauty. It was almost as tall as he was and drug that thing all over the park. AND guess what? He still has both his eyes and is alive! | |

Love it! very true. I also liked that people take sticks away from your children with you there....have I done that?! :) Probably not because I let mine too...rocks on the other hand, I don't trust them! Unless they're young enough to just suck on them.
