When Joe was in nursing school, we didn't get to see him very much. To help the kids (and us) get through it we said that when he was done with school we would go to Disneyland. Then he graduated and we were blessed enough that he found a job right away, so we postponed our trip until Jacob's October break. On October 3rd, we headed down to LA. Of course, there were some hiccups in our plans. By the time we reached Elk Grove, Luke announced that he didn't have his shoes. So, we stopped in Stockton to buy some. Then once we got to Disneyland, it rained and rained and rained. For a family that does not like the rain, we certainly vacation in it frequently. Originally, we were supposed to go to Disneyland Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and head home Thursday morning. We ended up going to Disneyland Monday and Tuesday then skipping Wednesday and going on Thursday to try to get some sun on our trip. On Thursday, it was nice and sunny! Then we just drove home all night. We had so much fun and the kids actually cried when we left, so we considered it a success!

Luke in line for a ride.
It's funny the rides you will do on to stay dry. We took a trip on the jungle boat ride.
...and the train...
...and the monorail...
Me and my Jake
One of the highlights of the trip was eating at the Blue Bayou, which is the restaurant inside the Pirates of the Caribbean. Joe reserved a table right next to the water. It was so cool. We will definitely do it again, it was worth the money.
The boys in Toontown.
Dad and his boys right outside Disneyland.
Jumping on the beds in the hotel was one of Luke's favorite things about the trip.
