Jacob began soccer last Saturday. He is playing in the under 6 boys division, just barely. I think the cut off was August 1st and his birthday was August 4th. It really is the perfect setup for him and us though. There are NO practices during the week! YEAH!!! Practice is the first half hour of the game, then they play for the second half. There is no time to really get bored which is great. Watching all the kids play is quite entertaining too. They spend much of the time on the ground or in a huge mass in the middle of the field, but it looks like fun and Jake likes it.
Jacob did well his first game. He almost scored twice. However, by the end of the game he got a little aggressive and most of the kids are quite a bit smaller than him. One poor sole on the other team was the recipient of Jacob's size. The boy was on a breakaway to score a goal. Then Jake catches up to him, lowers his shoulder and takes him out football style. The poor boy goes flying and all the parents make the audible "whoa". The boy happened to be the referee's son, who thank goodness found the whole event funny himself. However, then Jake was taking all the kids out on the other team by pulling on their jerseys and stuff like that. By the time Joe got a hold of Jake to tell him that you can't really do stuff like that, the game was over. At least he had fun. We'll see what next Saturday holds.

That's so funny because he is soooo not a bully! He's a sweetheart through and through.
No pushing pictures. I guess you didn't want to humiliate the other kids parents! Great story
