The Fence!

Since it's Spring Break for me and Joe, we decided that our time and money would be better spent doing things around the house rather than going somewhere. I know, it's boring, but this stuff just has to be done. We decided to tackle the fence first. First of all, if you haven't been to our house, we have a corner lot, with a huge yard, unfortunately we could not take advantage of the side yard, because it wasn't fenced in and I have a fear about letting the kids play out front. I also wanted to push the fence to the sidewalk, so people couldn't throw their trash in our yard anymore. And lastly, the fence just looked sad in it's current state. It was a lot of work and my arms are now very sore, but we were able to get it done with some help (thanks Sam) in just two days.

Here's me and Joe positioning the auger. My famous statement from this adventure was, "Am I supposed to spin with it?" Then Joe looks at me like and crazy and answers, "Ummmm, No."

We found some time for a smooch!

I think the machine weighed about 200 pounds. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

On the second day, Sam came after work to help Joe nail up the fence boards. Which was probably good. I had been making fun of Joe, pretty much all day, for my own amusement and my arms were pretty sore. I didn't really want to hold anything else up, so I "supervised" and cleaned stuff up.

Finished!

It looks great! Sam says you have a ton of room in the back now! I'm sorry I didn't make it out to help too. Sam seriously thought I would help carry boards and hang them. He is crazy! But next time you need help with physical labor and I'm not huge, I'M IN!
