Hiking to Fairy Falls

Today we decided that it was time for Joe to put away his NCLEX study guides, so we could go out hiking as a family.  I was a little worried about it at first, because this is his last weekend to study before his takes the exam, but he assured me that he wanted to do this and that it would be ok.  So, here we are in Smartville, CA off of Highway 20, enjoying the foothills.

This is a picture of me and the boys at the beginning of the hike.

Taking a break from hiking for a picture.

Here's Jake contemplating.  He's probably wondering why his parents drug him out here.  He actually did really well and barely complained, so that means we can go more!

Me and the boys in front of the waterfall.  This little perch freaked me out.  That fence wasn't the sturdiest and it was a big drop, so we didn't get many pictures here.

All of us at the top of the trail.  Noah was sleeping.

Jake, Joe and Luke...done!

Jacob's Kindergarten Completion Day!

Today Jake participated in his kindergarten completion day.  I'm so happy they didn't call it graduation.  EVERYTHING is a graduation, it seems, and to be honest I would hope that he'd pass kindergarten.  The only real way you get held back in the younger grades these days is if your parents agree to it, so it's pretty much a guaranteed thing that Jake would move on to the first grade.  Enough of my ranting.  Here are some pictures from the day.
Here Jake is looking around for us.  They had both kindergarten classes in the room, so there was a ton of people.  It was really cute to see him looking around for us.
Jake getting his certificate from his teacher Mrs. Dzida.
The boys enjoying a treat after the certificates were handed out.
Jake and some of his friends playing on the kindergarten playground before we left.

Krista's Bridal Shower

My baby sister is getting married in June.  I can't believe it.  Along with that comes the getting ready and the famed BRIDAL SHOWER.  My family knows how to get it done.  We are heavy on the lingerie and light on the housewares.  However, I spared you the lingerie shots, but trust me she has P L E N T Y.  Just as it should be at a bridal shower.

Becky, Elizabeth and Mia (with Levi)

Cassidy, Jaclyn, Kathryn, Nikki and Deanna getting ready to play the games.
(my least favorite thing to do at showers, so we played fast)

Krista answering the questions to the "getting to know the bride and groom" game.  For some reason she was worried that she wouldn't be able to answer them, even though they were about her.

Krista was so excited to get this.  The Sue and Ella got it for her and Sue said that it was her kitchen lingerie.

Then there was LOTS of this.

Open House

Jacob's school year is coming to a close.  He had open house tonight, so me and the boys got to go and see some of his school work from this year.

The first thing that he showed me was not school work, but the butterfly house.  Yep, that was the most important thing to him.  I can't blame him though, I still remember hatching butterflies when I was in kindergarten.

Showing off a piece of artwork.

Taking a break in the "forest" that is in between classrooms.

Noah's on the Move

Noah rolled over today for the first time, unassisted.  I'm so excited.  I think I'm one of the only parents that LOVES their kids to walk early and this is one step closer!

Noah at Three Months

Here is our sweet boy.  He seems to be growing up faster than the others for some reason.  Time is flying by.

He's also starting to smile a lot more.  Here he is getting started on one.

Bath Time

I just thought this was a cute picture of the boys.  Too bad Noah wasn't looking at the camera.
